The plugin should be available under Plugins> NppFTP as shown below. Plugin Admin/manager installs the plugin and restarts the Notepad++. Select the NppFTP plugin and click Install Button.

In your case, it would be better to update Notepad++ to the latest. Navigate to Plugins->Plugin Admin or Plugins> Plugin Manager -> Show Plugin Manager. The plug-ins used in Notepad++ are being updated from time to time and if you are not updating Notepad++, the plug-in you install may no longer be compatible with your current version. If the plug-in you are trying to install triggered that error, you probably haven’t updated Notepad++ yet. Navigate to Github to update Notepad ++ plugins, then reinstall them in Notepad after they have been updated. However, if you want to manually update the plugin, you must first download the most recent version.

If you are using Notepad++, installing a plug-in is made easy through its Plugin Manager plug-in which is installed by default. There are no plugins in the Plugins Admin that are available for manual installation of Notepad++.
